What It Means to Be an Interdisciplinary Artist

What It Means to Be an Interdisciplinary Artist

When people ask me what kind of artist I am, I often say: interdisciplinary. For me, that word holds layers of meaning. I create visual art—yes—but my work is also shaped by sound, movement, breath, and nature. Yoga and meditation are not just practices I do; they are part of my art. They are how I listen, how I feel, and how I create.

My studio is a place of devotion. Each piece I create is infused with vibration—quite literally. I use sound, prayer, smudging, and essential oils to energetically prepare both myself and the materials.

I believe we are energetic beings first. Our state of being is our greatest contribution to the world. This is the root of subtle activism. When I am aligned, joyful, and clear, the art that flows from me carries that vibration. When someone brings that piece into their space, they’re not just decorating a wall—they’re anchoring that frequency into their environment.

To be an interdisciplinary artist means I don’t separate the parts of me. The yogi, the sound healer, the intuitive, the visual artist—they all belong here. They are all channels for something greater to move through. My aim is simple: to create experiences and objects that help people remember their own harmony, their own beauty, and their own power.

In a world that moves fast and often disconnects us from ourselves, I hope my work offers a pause. A breath. A moment of reconnection.

Because beauty—real, resonant, vibrational beauty—is never just seen. It’s felt.

EXPERIENCE for yourself.
