"What kind of art do you do?"
I am often asked, "what kind of art do you do?"
While I could just say “multimedia artist,” that doesn’t quite capture the full scope of my work. To convey the essence of my artistic journey over the past 20 years, I’ve created a dedicated page on my website where you can explore the full spectrum.
Inspired by life and living, I've explored many mediums: jewelry making, costume design, leather crafting, body painting, painting, woodwork, resin, alcohol ink, sculpting, pyrography, and more.
I am compelled to create, relentlessly inspired, and motivated to explore and expand.
Like many artists, I’ve been creating and crafting since I was a child. I immersed myself in a fantasy world, devouring fairy tales and soaking up the vivid imagery from those books.
Once I finished beauty school and established myself as a hairstylist, I was positioned to pursue all kinds of ideas. At a party, I saw a fire dancer. She moved like a goddess. I wanted to learn her craft, so I did.
I enjoyed fire dancing for about 10 years. During that time, I created costumes, headdresses, and jewelry for performance, both for myself and for other dancers. This naturally led me into body art, where I could combine my costume designs and hairstyling skills with body painting. I’ve worked on more than 60 shoots and participated in several shows, galas, and private parties.
During this time, I delved deeper into yoga and self-discovery. On a whim, I found myself in Hawaii for a yoga teacher training. Although I hadn’t planned to teach, everything fell into place so seamlessly upon my return that I ended up teaching at several studios over the next decade. Today, I still teach, but primarily offer private sessions and a few community classes that blend yoga with meditation, healing tools, and sound.
Four years ago, I began experimenting with fluid art, which quickly evolved into a passion for creating both wall art and functional pieces. I now work with a variety of materials, including resin, reclaimed wood, pyrography, paint, crystals, rocks, and more.
Drawing from the wisdom of various healers and spiritual coaches from my own healing journey, I infuse my art with high vibrations and healing intentions. Through a blend of intention, sound, prayer, smudging, essential oils, crystals, and sacred geometry, each piece becomes a piece of peace.
In the sanctuary of my yoga and art studio, I dedicate each day to expanding my skills. My goal is to offer a repertoire of art that inspires personal evolution and radiates joy. I aspire to create not just visually appealing pieces but transformative experiences that speak to the soul.
