A barn owl is burned into the walnut surface, her feathers detailed with intricate patterning and surrounding geometry. The upper section features holographic opal resin with ribbon art, joined to the walnut by a flowing river of gold. This piece was built through an extensive process of shaping, sanding, burning, and coloring.
