Where the Pattern Expands

Where the Pattern Expands
This one has been such a journey. From woodburning to pigment, glitter, metal leaf, resin, and all the layers in between. The golden river, the living geometry, the way it plays with light... it all came together.
Wood-burned into walnut with a resin river tracing the natural edge of repurposed mesquite, this piece was built with rhythm and instinct. Finished with colored pencil, alcohol ink, metallic leaf, and varnish.
Sister to "Where the Pattern Flows" and carrying the same heartbeat.
