The Collective Current

Designed as functional art, this piece can be displayed as wall art or used as a table piece.

The Collective Current began as a broken slab of Texas mesquite. During the Austin Studio Tour, visitors were invited to choose a shell from my Sanibel Island collection and place it wherever it felt right. Each contribution became part of the final form.

I burned a double nautilus into the wood, then added metal leaf and holographic film. The surface was built with layers of resin, sanded and polished between pours.
